Visitor Comments about this Photo:Note that this is a double-track plow which casts only to the right. The plow parked in Plymouth in 1952 to the north of the station near Chase Grain was an old demoted double-track plow used on the Lincoln branch. The trucks had inboard bearings with spoked wheels, making them look like 4-4-0 pilot trucks but the railroad crews told me that the reason for the inboard bearings was to avoid freezing up the bearings due to the snow and cold Posted by Steven Hall on 2017-11-06 08:39:57 You must be logged on to post comments. |
