The Last "NEGScellent" Catch of 2017

This is it, the final return trip to Canterbury Yard, New England Southern\'s World Headquarters, for 2017. On a very cold day, with challenges of operating in winter, the NEGS crew is on their on final duties after they returned two empty slurry tank cars to the Pan Am team track in Concord for pick up.

These artistically decorated and well worn open hoppers will be put to work for the winter months. The rear one, will guard the north end of the Merrimack River Bridge in Concord, while the front one will be left on the south side of the West Road crossing in Canterbury, just south of Canterbury Yard. A third hopper will be placed at the north end of the Yard. The message here, is no trespassing, no snowmobiles, and whether there\'s a pile of snow or not, these tracks remain active, and can be used as needed.

Since NEGS usually runs in daylight, it was neat to catch them one more time at sunset!\r
