South Boston light power

A three-unit Penn Central diesel set consisting of ex-PRR GP30 2226, ex-NH RS11 1414, and ex-NH H16-44 1600 makes its way through a very empty yard as seen from the West 4th Street bridge in South Boston. Broadway Tower is in the upper left and the expanse at right is a former NH coach yard that PC had cleaned out. Within a couple months PC would move the ex-NH H16-44s out to Chicago where it had previously concentrated all of its former PRR and NYC FM power.
