Naugatuck Valley Budd

An unrepainted New Haven RDC running as Penn Central train 453 between Waterbury and Bridgeport, CT, accelerates away from the Naugatuck stop. The US Rubber/Uniroyal plant at left, where my father worked, dominated the town for years and provided over a thousand jobs. It is now completely gone.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, July 7, 1969.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, January 8, 2018.
Railroad: Penn Central.
