A Penn Central caboose brings up the rear of a southbound Conrail freight passing HART Tower (former NH SS214) on the north side of Hartford, CT. The track diverging to the left is the former Midland line to Boston via Willimantic and Putnam.

Apologies for fat fingers! Should have typed "Neat photo!" Also my rebuild query has to do with why the N8B caboose cupola windows were removed and covered with a lower bay window added...

That ex-NH caboose was one of a number rebuilt by Penn Central with bay windows. Historically, the NYC used bay window cabeese and the PRR used cupolas, so I have to assume that some ex-NYC people directed the conversion, but I don't remember anything beyond that.
