One of the two Leyland experimental railbuses that were briefly evaluated by the MBTA circa 1980 paused in front of the Attleboro, MA, tower during a test run on the Northeast Corridor. The LEV demo that included revenue runs between Lowell and Concord, NH, didn't lead to a sale. Today the FRA regulators wouldn't even let this sort of nonstandard vehicle off the boat.
