New Haven 44-Tonners

Two of the New Haven's last three GE 44-Tonners, 0812 and 0817, sat out of service behind the New Haven diesel shop in the summer of 1967. One of their last assignments had been the former Manufacturer's Railroad street trackage, once a trolley line, on the east side of New Haven. All of this is long gone now.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, July, 1967.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, March 13, 2018.
