Cedar Hill transfer

Penn Central RS3 5559, formerly New Haven 532, was still working in home territory as it pulled a transfer cut from the Cedar Hill classification yard down to the westbound departure yard. The general emptiness of the tracks foretold PC's plans for what had been the NH's largest freight facility.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, November, 1969.
