New Haven Alco FA1 0428 lays over at the Dover Street engine terminal in Boston between nightly trips to Lowell with its mates on trains BL-1 and LB-2. It was among the NH freight units that acquired window grates for crew protection against debris-dropping vandals, a big problem at the time on the Bay Ridge line in the Bronx.
