SPV at Derby

A Connecticut DOT owned Budd SPV-2000 provided commuter service on Metro North's Waterbury branch in the early 1980s, except when it broke down and was replaced by a bus, which was all too common. This day the SPV was apparently feeling healthy as it pulled into the station at Derby, CT, on a run to Bridgeport.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, March, 1982.
