unexpected observation

The New Haven's two lightweight observation cars, the Bunker Hill and the Watch Hill, were built for service on the Merchants Limited, but in the railroad's later years their normal assignment was as bar cars on New York-New Haven commuter trains. Thus it was a real surprise to find the Watch Hill on the tail end of the eastbound Merchants in 1968.
