WR-2 gets out of Ayer

After working the yard, Boston & Maine train WR-2 between Worcester and Portland departs Ayer, MA, on a fall morning behind two GP9s and a GP7. This train carried interchange traffic moving between the New Haven/Penn Central and the Maine Central.

If you went to Ayer for a day of railfanning in those days, WR-2 would never disappoint. It always showed up, even if nothing else did.
