Boston- Cedar Hill train on the Shoreline in western Rhode Island. Departed from South Boston in the "wee hours", BN-1 added tonnage at Readville, MA. The steady grind up Sharon Hill at sunrise was OK on a Saturday morning. On reaching Cranston, it took more than an hour "in the hole" for the dispatcher to run enough other traffic to be able to cut BN-1 loose again.
