Visitor Comments about this Photo:I well remember this wonderful station at 5yrs old when my mother and I left Rhode Island to go to Rolla, Missouri. We boarded our sleeping car in Providence and were switched South Station, never having to get off until St. Louis. We passed through steel mills at night and beside an airport. The dining car was great! The Pullman conductor would gather us up for seatings in the diner. Out of St. Louis we ended up getting on some troop sleepers on the end of a very long train just as it was leaving the station.
