busy morning at Cedar HillGiven what's there today, it's hard to believe how busy Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven was fifty years ago. This assemblage of ex-New Haven power -- RS3s, GP9s, RS11s, SW1200s, U25Bs -- idled at the engine terminal on a Sunday morning when most local freights and yard jobs were off. Penn Central had already removed the wires that until a few months earlier had fed the NH's EF-4 class electrics here, and transferred the NH's FM H-16-44s to Chicago.
