In 1980, Metro North leased a couple Amtrak RDCs that had been made surplus by SPV deliveries in order to supplement its own ex-NH and ex-NYC Budds. Amtrak car 15 discharged passengers at Bridgeport, CT, after arriving from Waterbury. The semaphore signals dated to the New Haven's 1914 electrification of this line.
