reopening North StationBoston's North Station was cut off from the rest of the railroad in January 1984 when the approach trestle of the Charles River drawbridge burned, and when train service resumed in April 1985 the MBTA marked the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Rebuilt platforms await riders behind the banner as T officials and politicians orate.
