Winnipesaukee Scenic's Fall Foliage Special

The journey started out from Meredith Station with their train heading north toward Ashland and Plymouth where the end point was the Common Man Inn. Passengers were treated to a buffet feast as part of the package. (Great food, if you have never been to any Common Man Restaurant in NH).

While the passengers were feasting, the Winnipesaukee Scenic crew pushed the cars back into Plymouth by the former RR station to do the engine runaround, then with the engine on the south end, pushed the cars back to the Common Man Inn, about a mile up the tracks. These rare mileage specials are scheduled to run for a couple of more weekends, hopefully sunshine and blue skies will prevail for some peak scenery !! The Winnipesaukee Scenic offers regular train rides from Meredith south to Weirs Beach and Lakeport and back.
