The MBTA's first F40PH seemed to be an appropriate subject for my one thousandth photo posting to this site. MBTA 1000 is on its way out of South Station at rush hour with a string of ex-New Haven coaches as a couple equipment drafts await their chance at a platform. Since steam heat isn't needed in July, an HEP locomotive can handle these old cars until the new push-pull equipment arrives.
