A Hint of B&M Heritage

A stranded B&M Boxcar is one of the many remnants that can be found along this once busy former B&M line. The Winnipesaukee Scenic's Fall Foliage Special ran only nine times on peak foliage weekends and this past Columbus Day. Riders where treated to rare views of lakes, rivers, and some historic train stations along the way like Ashland and here in Plymouth. No passengers were aboard at this time, they were enjoying a wonderful buffet feast at the Common Man Inn which adds a wonderful element to this special journey. The Crew was doing their runaround chores, by the old Plymouth Railroad Station, now a Senior Center, then backed the train a mile up the tracks to the Common Man Inn.

I had it on credible authority, the crew got to partake in the wonderful feast at the Common Man Inn after the runaround was completed, they deserved it ! :)
