This was the final regular 2018 Lake Shore run of the season for the Winnipesaukee Scenic as the train was being pushed north to Weirs Beach and Meredith from their stop just to the south of here in the Lakeport section of Laconia. Finally the sun peaked through enough to throw some sunlight on the cab of SW1001, #1590.

Usually #1590 is kept in Lincoln as a primary backup to their ALCO S1 #958, but was brought to Meredith for use with their Lake Shore runs, while SW1000 #1012 was used for the weekend Fall Foliage Specials.
