Maine Central caboose 672

This ex-MEC caboose is resting on the lead to the engine house in Honesdale PA on the DL&S Railroad. Home of the Stourbridge Line and Stourbridge Lion fame.Fully FRA compliant she lives a life of leisure as a private car plying the rails between Honesdale and Lackawaxen. Formerly known as Winnipesaukee River and seen for many years on the Merrimack Valley RR Caboose Train it is now named after the river she rolls by today, the Lackawaxen River. Built in 1981 by ICC. Retired from active service in 1989 where it languished on West End of the B&M for a while before it's purchase from Guilford in 1991. If not the final caboose International made, it was certainly among the last as part of a 75 car order for Santa Fe.
