The Cataumet Railroad Station

First opened in 1925, the Cataumet Railroad Station sits at Post Office Square in Bourne, Massachusetts. The original railroad station burned down during its first year of service. Since then, it has undergone a number of renovations. Other than occasional C&D trains that originate out of Joint Base Cape Cod and a handful of Dinner Trains that are operated by the Cape Cod Central Railroad in the summers, the station last saw routine passenger service here in June or July of 1988 when it was still being serviced by the Cape Cod and Hyannis Railroad.
