The Cape Cod Central Railroad’s Polar Express Train On December 2nd, 2018

Photographed here is the Cape Cod Central Railroad’s Polar Express Train preparing to depart north from the Buzzard’s Bay Railroad Depot in Buzzard’s Bay, Massachusetts. Like the NH 2026, EMD FL9 #2011 is the newest addition to the CCCX fleet. Built in September of 1957, #2011 was recently acquired by Iowa Pacific Holdings a couple of months ago from the Connecticut DOT. It will soon be painted in the typical cranberry paint scheme over the rest of the winter, before it’ll begin pulling Shoreline Scenic Excursion Trains hopefully at the start of next spring. The MC 2007 was on the south end of tonight’s train.

Just so you know 2011 was actually built in 1960 and not 1957.
