Another F unit sandwich April 1979

Bruce's photo of the GP9- F7B - GP9 consist reminded me that when I first went to work in Billerica, I would often run into BD-9 at Wilmington, blocking traffic as it came off the NH route onto the Wildcat.. Here the gravel train appears to be having engine trouble. With the location of the signal bridge, do I have the direction correct?

Yes, you have the direction correct. The signal bridge is at the south end of Wilmington Interlocking, and that bridge in the distance is Rt. 62.
