Sunset on The New Haven

The sun is literally and figuratively setting on the New Haven as the Mail and Express glides into South Station led by FL-9s #'s 2051 and 2054. A sorting facility is under construction in the background. Such facilities will be the doom of the Railway Post Office Car that did the sorting of mails en route.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, December, 1968.
