Lechmere Via Riverside

PCCs await their departure at Riverside Station near the shores of the Charles River in Newton, to soon dash across the leafy suburbs of Boston West, plunge under the streets of Boston, emerge on an elevated structure, pass North Station, cross the same Charles where it empties into the sea and terminate at Lechmere in what was then gritty East Cambridge. That was and the longest continuous trolley ride you could take on the MBTA. Now cars from Riverside terminate at Government Center
