During their long careers, the Boston & Maine's SW1 spend a lot of time switching the textile mills that once thrived in the region.Here the 1124 glides across one of the city's canals as it goes about its duties in Lawrence, MA.

I believe that is Holyoke MA, at the North Canal St. crossing. Springfield Photo Mount building is to the left.
