LB-2 #1 Sunrise at Framingham.

LB-2, out of B&M's Bleachery yard, in Lowell, had arrived at Framingham in the wee hours. The units were set aside and yard crews set about switching out the train. Cars for Framingham and those to be forwarded to Taunton and Fall River were removed. The remaining cars were added to cars on hand, mostly interchange from B&A, to create two outbound blocks. With the Readville and South Boston.cars in place, the power has just been set back against the train and the air work begun.

Excellent and interesting photo! Is this capture taken from the cab of an Alco Road Switcher or FA cab unit? I'm guessing the RS in the distance is a yard switcher? The signal is long gone having been removed by Conrail - I'm guessing the signal was used to control access to the diamonds crossing the B&A main tracks east of the Framingham depot? Good stuff!
