Amtrak Train 149 Passing Sunday's Relief Power at KingstonAMTK 626 (ACS-64) leads Sunday-only train 149 into Kingston Station, passing the Sunday 'rescue squad' power. The extra returned to Boston late Saturday evening, using the wye to reach the yard. The Sunday morning crew took the train to South Station to get their paperwork, then headed for Kingston, reversing the consist in the process. So this in AMTK 97 (P42DC) on the west end, coach 82748, and AMTK 609 (ACS-64) on the east end. Over the weekend I learned that the track work they are protecting is not in Rhode Island, as I first thought. It is on Track 1 on the drawbridge at Mystic, CT. Track 3 in Kingston is the closest interlocked location to store this power, should it be needed.
