"This train has got the disappearin' railroad blues"

With apologies to Arlo Guthrie and The City of New Orleans, Train #15, The Puritan, is making its last trip to New York having made its last stop at Route 128 station. It is a strange encore or ghost of the New Haven, complete with New Haven business car #2 properly bringing up the rear.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, February 1, 1969.

Hahahahaha!!!! You’ve combined two of my favorite subjects- music and trains!!! Some day I’ll post a picture entitled- it takes a lot to laugh; it takes a train to cry—but there won’t be any apologies to Bob Dylan!!! I wonder why you haven’t posted that yet??? After all, my favorite verse in that song is: Don’t the brakeman look good, flagging down the double E? Hint,hint..... you’ve put lots of pictures up that could accompany that verse!!!
