Taking On Coal at North Walpole

Shown here is F Nelson Blount's ex-CNR #89. This facility at North Walpole still had the coaling tower intact, no to mention a roundhouse and turntable, and after years of disuse it was revived. A P&LE hopper is positioned over the coal pocket.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, June 8, 1989.
Added to the photo archive by Ron DeFilippo, March 31, 2019.
