Framingham Sentry

Here are a pair of rather lofty lower quadrant semaphores that once guarded the junction of the Fitchburg and Lowell routes at Framingham Center. They were rod operated along with the switches. I understand that there was an as-needed operator who came in to operate the rod plant as well as the crossing gates here. There is also a dwarf semaphore down near the base of the mast.
