Engineer waves as Erie-Lackawanna single SD-45 #3617 proves its mettle opening up on the Fitchburg main at Milepost 6 in Belmont, MA. For a small window of time the B&M and E_L were pooling power on the pig trains, this one being PB-W. One unit must have been sufficient on this day. Maybe they were adding power down the line?
