"Radio Equipped"

Back when I was growing up along the EL Southern Tier in the '60s, a lightning bolt with the words "Radio Equipped" applied under the cab meant the RR was state of the art, even though wayside telephones were still in use. NS #1068, the Erie (passenger scheme) Heritage Unit, carries that historic detail forward as Pan Am Southern 16R crew puts the three units into the service area at East Deerfield. Of course no Erie E8 had a PTC antenna array on its roof so the SD70ACe is even more "Radio Equipped".
