Interesting to note they have not used the triangular design signal like the MBTA has adopted on new installations, at least on the Fitchburg Line. The predecessor NYC liked the old USS&S triangular signal west of the old B&A.

I was a little surprised to see these style of signals here but considering that this is now the standard across the country - I shouldn't be.
