New Haven RelicDon't know when the last time this piece of equipment was used or if it was ever used again. Jordan Spreaders were used for various maintenance projects including ditching and spreading/shaping ballast or for snow plows. Remarkable is the low number, "M-1", attesting to its "seniority" although the standard New Haven steam era headlight has #4259 on the side glass ,maybe from a MUT? Anyway, quite a piece of equipment with a homemade look complete with green porcelain shaded lights, beadboard sheathing and stack for a car stove. A great prototype for a model railroader. Seen at the Framingham Yard.
