The old Summit Hill Rd. Bridge

The old Summit Hill road bridge in Washington MA. This bridge stretched over the "Washington cut" on the Boston line until 2017, when it was replaced with a new bridge. The bridge was a repurposed turntable from the old Chester MA roundhouse. After the closing of the Chester roundhouse and serving as a locomotive turntable for many years, it then was removed and hauled up to Washington where it served as a auto bridge for many decades until it was deemed unsafe for auto traffic and replaced.
