NA-1 / 502 at Manchester Rail YardScenes like this are not so common these days, where the once bustling Manchester Rail Yard looked like it was bustling again with activity. This picture was taken from the Penthouse Railfan Suite overlooking the Scenic South End of the Manchester Rail Yard. ;-)
The NA-1 Crew entered the southern end of the yard with empties from Merrimack and loaded tank cars. The middle cut were loaded cars for Bow and Concord, while the cars on the far left were another set of empties. The cars that were already there were set off last Friday. Once switching was complete, the Crew would go north towards Concord with those loaded cars.
When 502 appeared on these rails in the summer of 2019, it wore Guilford colors. At the end of last summer, it turned Pan Am blue! This GP40-2L(w) was built in 1974.
