MBRX 901 over Souhegan River Bridge in Wilton

Taken from the Mill Street side of the bridge in Wilton NH, the Milford Bennington Crew took their last loads of the day to Granite State Concrete in Milford. This "conveyor belt train' can make up to three runs a day from the quarry in Lyndeborough to the plant in Milford, with ten loads. Today, there were two runs as Pan Am's NA-1 Crew occupied the yard limits on their tracks from Milford to Wilton while heading to their customer at Hendrix Wire.

MBRX's power comes from a ex Canadian National (#7250) SW900 built in March of 1958. This push/pull operation has a caboose that's used as a shoving platform for the return trip to the quarry.

Always great to catch the Milford Bennington Crew in action !
