Not what I expected

This is South Cedar Street at the entrance to the Milford yard. I expected the cut off to be a fly by, instead it's paralleling the CSX line. Although not finished, it looks like a long siding. I was shown an 1890s picture showing exactly that, but it really doesn't look accessible except from CSX owing to the short distance between the cut off and CSX track - unless there has been some agreement from Bellingham north. That being said, the G&U is fully connected to CSX on both ends.

Since they didn't put a second switch down at the other end I guess it's a siding for some new business? Not what I expected either.

There have been inquiries about the building being torn down just adjacent to this. It's being torn down by the city as a dangerous nuisance after fighting with the pwner for 15 years. It's loaded with asbestos, falling down and infested with rats which have been spreading around the neighbourhood.
