Approaching the station...

The Railworks crew approaching the Monument Beach station, on the Falmouth rail restoration project. The state of MA has apparently funded the long-awaited upgrade, much to the disappointment of certain factions in Falmouth who have vowed to connect the Shining Sea bike path to the Cape Cod Canal bike path...how about NEXT TO the tracks, folks?!!! Good settlement!

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

MassDOT has approved building a bike path which is at 25% design stage to run along side of the Falmouth Secondary from Canal Junction to Monument Neck Rd crossing at MP 0.82 in Gray Gables. Expected start date is 2024 subject to funding and all approvals in place. Beyond this crossing wetlands exist and it will be extremely costly to continue it if at all.
