BKTY is a mark UP inherited when they bought MKT. Today, UP mainly uses BKTY on lessor-owned boxcars which are subject to net leases (as opposed to full-service leases, under which a lessor-controlled mark would be applied to the cars). This particular car, which was built by Evans in 1981, is owned by GATX, who acquired the car from GE Railcar in 2014.
