Green Mountain Tourist Train Laying Over in Bellows Falls, VT

Back toward the end of the 20th century, the Green Mountain Railroad operated train service between Bellows Falls and Chester, VT long before the fall foliage season started. And the trains obviously ran all the way into Bellows Falls and with only GMRC 405 (RS1), not a locomotive on each end out of Chester so they could reverse direction short of Riverside. Here the train lays over between runs an a short spur on the Green Mountain side of the Bellows Falls depot. Year 1998 is an estimate.
