PLLX 1590 Alongside the Weirs Beach Boardwalk

As this Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad excursion passed by the south end of the Weirs Beach Boardwalk, the smells of diesel came first, but then it was the wonderful captivating pleasing odor of gravy from the turkey dinners being served, catered by the legendary Hart's Turkey Farm. The Saturday Night Turkey Trains provide guests, not only a feast from Hart's, but also the opportunity take in the sights around western shores of the big Lake at sunset.

Two more Saturday Night Turkey Dinners trains remain for the season. (10/24 is the last one.)

The consist includes two former Reading / SEPTA / MBTA non-powered Budd RDC-1's #9151 & 9159, Two former DLW, EL, NJT Pullman built MU Cars, One ex CN caboose, pulled by former CIT, NS, Conrail, and Reading SW1001 #1590.

I got very hungry after this train passed by.
