NA-1 351 by Pine Island Drive in Manchester.

Here was the NA-1 Crew approaching the Pine Island Drive crossing on the south end of Manchester just past MPN 24. The goal was to snag a picture by the Merrimack River Bridge separating Manchester from Bedford, but the direct sunlight would have not worked in that spot to make for a good picture. I moved over to Pine Island Drive, in came the clouds, then as the train approached the sun peaked thru..

MEC 351 was the power briefly for the Nashua Crews, sounds like they have 509 at present. 351's appearance shows the orange band around the engine, with almost all of the "Guilford Rail System" and the big "G" white lettering obliterated. Only the word 'stem' of "system' remains on the engineer's side. Great horns on 351, though.

NA-1 was heading north into Manchester yard to set off the Merrimack empties, the crew change took place at River Road in Bow.

Merry & Safe Christmas.
