Plymouth & Lincoln 1012 on the Boardwalk

All quiet on the beach, all quiet on the Weirs Beach Boardwalk....It was time to call the 2021 Winnipesaukee Scenic's operating season, over and out.

This train was pulling into the Weirs for one last time for 2021 to discharge passengers, who boarded the 1pm train to take an easy ride from the Weirs to Lakeport (Paugus) and back. The train would soon depart north for home base Meredith Station and disappear from the Boardwalk view until May of 2022.

The next day, the 1012, and other equipment was taken north to Lincoln for their winter hibernation and maintenance, while the rest of the equipment remained in Meredith Yard.

The Railroad made the national news wires, sadly, as they cancelled their 2021 Lincoln "Santa Express Trains" scheduled for late November and December, due to COVID concerns and safety to all. Let's hope by this time in 2022, this virus is very much in the past tense.
