NA-2 383 @ Londonerry Turnpike Crossing in Hooksett

From July 6th, here was the NA-2 Crew taking 383 and a healthy sized local through Hooksett around sundown. Even a patched former leased locomotive looks good rolling through here, though if the brush cutting crew is looking for something to do, this area could benefit from their services. There is a nice three span bridge, that was once double tracked, behind those trees!

The current historical Robie's was built in 1906. A restaurant had leased the facilities, was shuttered in this location due to COVID and staffing issues. They have since relocated to Newmarket. In the past, many aspiring Presidential hopefuls would make a campaign stop here.

With CSX now the owner of these rails, it's safe to say sightings like this could become more uncommon in the months ahead, as I am sure yellow painted noses will become more familiar sights.
