CSX Geometry Train at Wright Avenue in Merrimack

Here was a recent CSX Geometry train, checking out the goods on the Northern Main from late Wednesday afternoon (11/9). They would make it as far as River Road in Bow, before eventually heading south the next day.

The lineup was:
CSX 8052n (SD40-2) former Seaboard Coast Line
TGC-2 -Track Geometry Car
Florence - Baggage car converted for power.
Southern Pacific - Birch Cove Coach (Crew's Quarters)
CSX 6025n (GP40-2) former B&O

In Bow, both the 6025 and the 8052 were placed on the south end of the train with the 8025 leading. This was the second geometry train to appear on the Northern Main since CSX became the owner of these NH Rails in June. The first Geometry Train started north to Bow on June 17th.

This is by the Wright Avenue Crossing in Merrimack, north of this crossing was the former CPN-18 signal, removed switch, and the former south end of a two mile siding..
