Monongahela "Super 7" switches Beacon Park

CSX 3187 has been working as the Beacon Park switcher the last few weeks. This is a very interesting unit. It started out as Western Pacific 2251 a U23-B, merged with the Union Pacific and became UP 520, was traded in to GE and in 1989 was rebuilt into Monongahela 2306 a B23-S7 "Super 7", went to Conrail in 1993 when they took over the Monongahela and retrofited to become a B30-R7 as Conrail 2036, in the breakup of Conrail it became CSX 3187. Quite a long history from Western railroading to Eastern Coal drags to Beacon Park!
